Movies Under The Stars: Hoboken

‍Movies under the Stars will be held in the Summer.
Movies will start at 9 p.m. Bring a picnic basket, blanket, or a low-back chair. On-screen subtitles will be provided upon request. All parks are wheelchair accessible. Schedules are subject to change. Shows may be canceled due to inclement weather.  More Details Here. The schedule for 2026 is yet to be released. They are usually screened at the following places –

Hudson County Parks Movies


The summer movies by Hudson County Parks are set to begin in July. Please check their Facebook page for rain dates and updates, since this would be weather-dependent.
All screenings start at sunset and provide free admission. Popcorn and refreshments are usually available on site as well. Please check for details on their website.

Newport Green Park

All movies will start at dusk (around 8:30 pm) and will be screened in the Oval Garden at Newport Green Park. Be sure to bring a blanket to sit on, as well as any snacks or drinks you would like.
In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be rescheduled. Check their Instagram or your email for any updates.
They have a series of outdoor movie nights in the summer! Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled evening under the stars.

Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association

HPNA began hosting movies in the park during the summer of 2026. It continues to be the most popular event that the HPNA hosts.
They have announced the 2026 films and dates! Movies start shortly after sundown.
The first Movie in the Park, on Saturday, June 20, at sundown.

Plenty of summer is left to spend a lovely evening watching a movie at a Jersey City park! A lot is happening in Jersey City this summer. Here are some other activities your family and friends can enjoy. And here are some ways you can beat the heat on a summer day. As fall approaches and schools reopen, there will be fewer opportunities to spend time outdoors. While going to restaurants, cafes, museums, zoos, galleries, libraries, etc. can be year-round, the opportunities to visit farms, waterparks, safaris, summer hiking trails, camping, etc. get limited.
