Evening Under the Stars w/ York Street Project

Summer Events for Families in Jersey City and HobokenTHURSDAY, JUNE 13TH • 6 PM-9 PM

The best block party of the year is back for the 9th year in a row! Tickets include unlimited tastings from all our food and drink vendors. Entertainment for the night will be live music from the Jersey shore cover band, “enjoy!”

All proceeds from the event and Super Raffle support the York Street Project programs that deliver solutions to break the cycle of poverty.

Feministival Series- FUNtastic Summer in JC

Friday, June 14• 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Feministival (An event for women, by women) Fair in Jersey City!
Make your way to Hamilton Park for Feministival on Friday, June 14th from 4pm to 7pm! This event occurs on the 2nd Friday of the month during summer and fall and it was created to highlight women-owned businesses in our community. There will be a ton of fun activities like arts & crafts, train rides, puppet shows, music for kids, giant bubbles, delicious food and so much more! Bring the whole family to enjoy a warm summer evening, grab dinner from a food vendor, and support local women-owned businesses. We hope to see you at this fun community event!

New Jersey Food and Beer Festival 

SATURDAY, JUNE 15TH3PM -7PM

Sample 200 beer varieties with an all you can eat BBQ feast including split Berkshire pork, grass-fed beef, fire roasted rabbit & free range chicken plus live music from Lima Bean Riot, hot air balloon rides, hoppy hop races, human foosball, axe throwing, beer obstacle course and much more.

Bagapalooza

SATURDAY, JUNE 152PM-5PM

The Office of Sustainability is co-hosting a reusable bag event with Cultural Affairs and the Jersey City Public Schools. “Bagapalooza” will have crafts and games for kids with the Educational Arts Project, a plastic bag weaving project, a live painting from the Jersey City Mural Arts Program, live music, and a reusable bag giveaway featuring the winning logo of the Sustainable STEAM Challenge. The event will be at City Hall Plaza and it is free.

Holi Hai Color Walk

Saturday, June 15• 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

“When everyone is colorful, no one is different,” states Surati’s motto, celebrating equality and brotherhood across boundaries. Surati Holi Hai is a day-long event will take place on Saturday, June 15, will promote peace, equality and unity through cultural diversity, color play, a color walk, live performances, cultural, educational and interactive workshops, interactive art, food & drink vendors, a children’s zone, DJ, dancing and much more.

The festival will begin at 10:00 am in downtown Jersey City with the Hudson River Fitness Color Walk featuring yoga, fitness, dance and drumming. Health professionals and organizations will offer workshops, lectures and fitness demonstrations. The walk will continue along the Hudson waterfront route to Pier A, Hoboken, where the Spring Festival of Colors will begin at noon. T-shirts, color packets and water will be given to registered walkers.

Dinner at Van Vorst Park

Saturday, June 15• 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Celebrate Jersey City’s dynamic food scene and enjoy a delicious three-course dinner in one of our beautiful parks. Each dinner will be created by a guest chef, and the event aims to support the Jersey City Parks Coalition in their mission to empower residents to develop, renovate, use and maintain their community parks and public spaces of Jersey City; thereby revitalizing neighborhoods and lifting communal and human spirits.

About the Chef: Colleen Christi Willett is the Chef & Co-Owner of Bread & Spoon, a catering and specialty baked goods company that focuses on balanced, delicious, accessible meals for everyone. She runs Bread & Spoon with her husband, Steve. Colleen believes cooking and eating healthfully should be fun, delicious, interesting and most importantly, shared.

Friends of Liberty State Park – “Run for Liberty” 5K Run

Saturday, June 15• 9:30 am – 2:30 pm

Please join the Friends of Liberty State Park’s first “Run for Liberty” on Saturday, June 15, with a chip-timed 5K USATF-sanctioned Run at 10:00 am, and Fun Run (1 mile) for children at 9:30 am.

Please register at our info webpage at www.runsignup.com/runforliberty. The check-in and tee shirt tables will be by the Flag Plaza at Liberty State Park’s Southside. The GPS is 200 Morris Pesin Drive.

There’s free parking, bike racks, and a DJ. Enjoy a run in the People’s Park on the waterfront promenade in our great open space Jersey City waterfront park behind Lady Liberty.

Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato’s Kids’ Gelato Pop Making Class

SATURDAY, June 15 • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

A Unique Cooking adventure for the young food artisans (60 minutes) This is a hands-on Artisan Gelato Pop making workshop at Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato Co. The young chefs will get a complete immersion in their favorite subject! Kids from the age of  6 -14 years of age can participate and learn how to make delicious gelato pops! Father’s Day Celebration in Jersey City

SUNDAY, June 16• 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

JCFamilies and Farms in Heights will be hosting a Father’s Day celebration at Riverview Fisk Park in Jersey City!

To celebrate the dad’s, there will be a fun celebration for dads and their families. There will be activities for all children including arts and crafts, giant bubble show, food and so much more! You can buy fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market as well. There was also be a DJ playing your favorite music! It is a free event and everyone is welcome to join. The event is at Riverview-Fisk Park: 498 Palisade Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307.

Project eats food festival 2019 Jersey city

Sat.-SUN., June 22-23rd • 11 am-7 pm

THE JERSEY CITY PROJECT + the CITY OF JERSEY CITY will celebrate warm days, cool drinks and delicious eats with the annual PROJECT: EATS on June 22 + 23, 2019. The food-centric marketplace will run from 11 AM to 7 PM on Saturday and Sunday and will be located around City Hall at 280 Grove Street in Historic Downtown Jersey City.
