Haunted High Line Halloween

If you can only attend one of the very many Halloween Events in Jersey City, Hoboken and NYC, we highly recommend you take the whole family to this absolutely amazing event.

The High Line taps into its spooky past for this Halloween event. Over 150 years ago, freight trains ran at street level and grew to become a real danger as the city’s population increased. Tenth Avenue was called “Death Avenue” and in 1930, an elevated train track was erected as a safer alternative to the street trains. The train track would eventually become the High Line and once a year, those unfortunate souls who lost their lives in train accidents rise up to haunt the park. But no worries, the event is more of a fun festive experience—think face painting, costumes, dancing, live performances and a photo booth—than a creepy haunt.
