The average American household uses 1\,500 bags every year. In landfills\, depending on conditions\, plastics can last 100\,000+ years (!) to break down. \nJersey City will enforce a citywide ban on single-use plastic carry-out bags starting June 28\, 2019. As households we can also reduce our use of plastic and find better alternatives. \nDon’t know where to start?
