Farmer’s Market Open in Jersey City

The weather is warming up, and Farmer’s Market season is officially here. We all want to step out and get some fresh air and want to buy fresh food and produce. Luckily, multiple Farmer’s Markets will open up for the season around Jersey City, but with proper social distancing guidelines.

HDSID Farmer’s Market

Farmer's Market Opening in Jersey City

The HDSID Farmers Market is open! In light of the current situation concerning COVID-19, they have implemented certain guidelines that businesses should follow to prevent the spread of this virus. The HDSID and our Market Manager have been in constant contact with Jersey City Health Officials and will proceed with the season but will implement new procedures to ensure a successful Market for our visitors and vendors alike.

The Farmer’s Market location will remain at the Grove PATH Plaza but will also include the “first green” area of the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall. This is to ensure that all vendors are at least 6 feet away from each other and not in close quarters. This will allow visitors and vendors alike to maintain appropriate social distances. Signs promoting and reminding visitors and vendors alike to please maintain 6 feet apart will be spread throughout the Plaza and Mall area. They will also have caution tape and signs on the ground promoting social distancing. There will be a reduced number of vendors that will be taking precautions.

Make sure to change your pick up location when ordering to Paulus Hook. They will, of course, have social distancing in full effect as well as masks, and gloves will be worn at all times.
