Liberty State Park-plse call Gov-major threat-urge conditional veto

Dear Jersey City families who enjoy Liberty State Park

Please stand up for Liberty State Park at this turning point in park history, and please call the Governor if you haven’t done so and please SPREAD the WORD about this major threat to LSP’s future. The Governor could sign A3969, on his desk now, on any day (and latest he can act on the bill is 2/5) to facilitate LSP’s commercialization and privatization.(the Statehouse is closed today Tuesday).

Please call 609-292-6000 and urge Governor to Conditionally Veto Assembly Bill 3969 – the Meadowlands Act until the LSP language is removed – as this bill gives blank check power to this new Meadowlands development commission “to evaluate, approve and implement any plan for LSP” ! The NJ Sports and Exposition Authority is the main entity comprising the new Commission.

The JC Parks Coaltion (JCPC) is calling upon organizations to sign a letter at this link urging Governor Christie to exercise his conditional veto until the language is removed from the legislation.
