Ice Cream Fundraiser

If you and your kids like ice cream then please come along to a charity fundraiser at CHERRY PICK – a great new ice cream shop at 305A Grove Street – on Saturday August 2nd between 12-4pm.

All sales made during this 4 hour time period will have 15% donated to a charity called reachwithin. http://www.reachwithin.org

Please let all your local friends and family members know about the fundraiser so that we can all eat delicious ice cream while feeling great about raising money for a wonderful little charity.

reachwithin works with vulnerable children in the Caribbean who have been abused or abandoned and live in group care homes. They provide programs for the children to help them reach their power within to overcome their pain and anger and to build their self esteem, confidence, and happiness. They also provide programs for the caregivers, to help the children have a connection with adults who have empathy and use positive parenting techniques.

Food and shelter provide basic support and temporary relief, but emotional support and helping children find their inner strength and hope is paramount for a happy and healthy child.
