Dear Jersey City Parents, Residents, and Activists:
This is a quick reminder that the JC Moms are hosting a Meet and Greet with all the candidates tomorrow Tuesday April 10th at 6:30PM at St. Matthews Church (85 Wayne St.). As previously described, each candidate will be given 3 minutes to introduce themselves, followed by ample opportunity to mingle with constituents.
Also, attached for your reference are the completed questionnaires that were submitted by candidates, and disseminated to JC Moms and allied community organization members.
As a thank-you to St. Matthews for use of their space, please bring a non-perishable food item or monetary donation for the St. Matthews Food Pantry.
Finally, a few reminders:
Election Day is Tuesday, April 17th. The polls are open from 7am to 9pm.
Use “Polling Place Search” from nj.gov to find your polling station.
Board of Education elections are important. The Board of Education oversees a $650 million budget (this is larger than the entire city budget), and has the power to set the policy and direction of the public school system for years to come. Unlike in recent years past, there are no incumbents running; so regardless of who you vote for, change is coming. Every vote matters! We hope to see you at the Meet & Greet on the 10th, and at the polls of the 17th!
Please feel free to forward this to all Jersey City residents and organizations.
