Babysitting Coop – Anybody Interested?

Hi Friends,

I wanted to check if moms on this forum are interested in a Babysitting Coop?

For uninitiated, its a popular concept in several mom communities (I was part of one in CA last year before moving here). All members get initial babysitting credits that they can use to get babysitting hours from other members of the community…

Advantages include:

1. No money involved – you don’t need to pay anything

2. Better all round development for the kids as they get to meet new friends and be in other homes

3. Better than those adolescent babysitters wanting $20 per hour as your child is looked after by someone you know and trust (and has a child of similar age group)

4. Fair system – in long term, each mom gets same babysitting hours and provides them.

5. Not least – you get some hours of your life back to do what you love – Gymming, shopping, reading, dating, dinners etc.

This looks like a pretty active mom community to me… may be, we can start one here?

Please comment to see if moms on this forum are interested and I can try to organzie a system that I saw in my previous mom group.
