Jewelry 101 Class: String Your Own Beaded Necklace in Jersey City
Class Goal: Learn the basics of stringing beads by making your own necklace and or bracelet. Take home your own creation!
Class Level: All Levels. This is a very easy to learn foundation class for beaded jewelry. For more advanced students, Jewelry 102: Hand-knotting Pearls will be offered after this course.
Teacher background: Me! 20 years making jewelry using the following techniques: beading, wax carving, silver smithing. GIA certifed in diamond grading. Owned 3 of my own jewelry stores in NYC for 10 years.
Age requirement: Ages 9 and older

What you’ll learn in this class:
Learn to make a basic beaded necklace or bracelet using czech glass, pearls, seed beads or whatever beads you choose from class supplies. You will learn the simplest technique to string your own necklace or bracelet and take it home with you.
Proper selection of supplies and where to purchase them are covered in class.
Tools are available for use in class.

All bead materials, string and findings are provided.
