Workshop for Parents: JC Plastic Ban and How to minimize use of Plastic
We typically use plastics bags for less than 15 minutes before they are discarded. The average American household uses 1,500 bags every year. In landfills, depending on conditions, plastics can last 100,000+ years (!) to break down.
Jersey City will enforce a citywide ban on single-use plastic carry-out bags starting June 28, 2019. As households we can also reduce our use of plastic and find better alternatives.
Don’t know where to start? Join our FREE workshop with Melissa Kozakiewics from the City of Jersey City.
She will talk about the upcoming Plastic Ban, as well as how to minimize use of plastic and finding alternatives to plastic in the daily life.
RSVP is required, register HERE to attend. You can also submit questions ahead of time using the registration form.
Address for the workshop: Zaniac Jersey City, 125 1st St, Jersey City, NJ 07302
