If you have a preschooler like me, you know that food is tricky business!
Don’t go by serving sizes listed on nutrition labels – they’re meant for ADULTS. Three-and four-and five year old children have smaller tummies and simply do not require food portions OUR size! They are also easily overwhelmed by larger portions.
Early on in my nutrition REVAMP, I started with these serving sizes for my baby, but also learned to let HIM be my guide. A preschoolers appetite can fluctuate daily, depending on his or her activity level, growth spurts, etc…but THE LAST THING YOU WANT TO DO is serve them MORE than they’re really hungry for! This of course can lead to myriad health issues later on as well as negative self-perception.
