We are extremely sad to let go of our nanny, Maryam after almost 2.5 years, as we are moving end of September. She has been taking care of my daughter, since my daughter was 10 weeks old. Some of you may have seen her in the park or music classes with my daughter, Zaara.
Maryam has become a part of our family. We cannot say enough good things about her. She is very reliable, trustworthy, honest, kind and more importantly loves our daughter like her own.
She is a Certified CDA (Child Development Associate), a Licensed Childcare Provider and is certified in CPR and First Aid. She speaks English and is educated u2013 she was a lawyer in Egypt and worked at a Hospital in Egypt. She is a US citizen.
Maryam is a very patient teacher to my child and does different kinds of child development activities, music, art, story-time, shapes, colors, numbers, letters, rhymes, etc. She knows baby massage and an expert burper.
She has tremendous tenacity u2013 my daughter never took to the bottle very well u2026 Maryam patiently fed her my expressed breast milk by the spoon u2013 if she wasnu2019t there, I donu2019t know if I could have continued working or how my daughter would have survived during the time I was away. Now I travel frequently on businessu2026 and I feel assured that my daughter in taken care well. Maryam calls me during the day to keep me updated and also writes down daily diary.
She also helps in light housekeeping, but her primary responsibility is my daughter.
She lives in Bayonne, NJ with her husband and two kids.
