Learning Ladders Teachers Requirement

LEARNING LADDERS, a new early education center in Paulus Hook, Jersey City is looking for head and assistant teachers
with the following qualifications for its infant, pre toddler and toddler classes:

• . An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in ECE for Head Teacher
• . A degree in a child-related field or equivalent for Assistant Teacher
• . Over two years of experience working with infants for Assistant Teachers and 5 years for Head Teachers (Infant
• group)
• . Over two years of hands-on experience with toddlers and pretoddlers for Assistant Teachers and 5 years for
• Head Teachers (pre-toddler and toddler group)
• . Able to work a full time schedule
• . Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• . Excellent classroom set-up and management skills
• . Organized, self-directed, enthusiastic
• . Multilingual a plus

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• – Correspondence with parents regarding lessons, progress reports, special events, etc
• -Sufficient experience and confidence to take on the leadership role in a new daycare
• – Commitment to a quality and progressive teaching philosophy that encourages an intercultural understanding of our
• world (knowledge of International Baccalaureate and Montessori or other alternative background preferred)
• – A clear and ambitious vision for a strong curriculum that will shape the center through its formative years
• – Define the curriculum for their respective class
