We have recently noticed a few members posting (or trying to post) commercial content on JCFamilies.

While JCFamilies is all for providing a platform for our momentrepreneurs to spread word about their businesees, here are a few things to remember:

• This is not Craiglist. If you are joining JCFamilies with the sole objecitve of posting commercial content, please do not bother. Our moderator team is quick to delete commercial content from members who do not participate in the community otherwise

• The idea is for moms to meetup and share their experience about parenting in Jersey City. Please leverage this platform for that purpose primarily

• Occasional, not intrusive messages regarding your business are fine – BUT onlyoccasional(less than once a month), and only after you have shown involvement in community (i.e. have contributed to discussions, attended events etc)

• Always use the discussions board for such posts and carefully categorize them under MomEntrepreneurs. DO NOT put them on the blogs. Blogs are supposed to be interesting content that is valid for long term – commercial posts are not in that category!

We hope everyone understands this policy and the need of such policy. We dont want the community members to face unwanted commercial spam (there is enough spam in email boxes already!)
