Depending on your style, you may want a rentable venue where you can bring everything in or you may want to have the whole party planned for you and just walk in day of and party. Three Little Birds: This cute studio and school isn’t just for classes! Three Little Birds offers many different themes for your little one’s special day or you can choose one for yourself. You get a 2 hour party with up to 15 kids. They will take care of the set up, run the party and clean up, so you can enjoy the whole experience with your child! The party package includes: streamers according to your color preferences, provide color paper products, pizza and juice boxes for the kids, music, use of the upstairs studio space and use of the downstairs play space for younger siblings and parents only. You can even order extras like goody bags, cupcakes or cake and food for the adults and feel free to bring beer and wine for the grown-ups! The studio is also available to rent for a DIY party.
Liberty State Park: The fall weather is the perfect time to have an outdoor party! Plus, the views at Liberty State Park are some of the best around. There are many picnic areas around the park that can be reserved. There are some by the playground, which is a popular spot for families. Those can be reserved by contacting the park office at (201) 915-3402. The Freedom Field and Pavilion has two rentable areas that are available through October 31. Pavilion A accommodates up to 120 people, includes 4 grills, has 15 picnic tables, an open grass area, parking, restrooms and electric. It is $175 for a NJ resident. The Crop Shop: If you have a budding artist, this arts, crafts and scrapbooking boutique is a great place to host their party! Their parties are full-service, “all you have to do is show up!” Party packages include: exclusive use of the shop for 2 hours for up to 10 kids, pizza and juice boxes, eating supplies, 3 craft activities, 10 custom-designed invitations, 2 hosts and a customized cake or cupcakes. Plus, you can add things like additional kids, favors, customized banners, catering and more for an additional cost. They will transform their 3,000 square foot studio into a “whimsical” place for your little one’s party! Party themes include: ballet princess fairy, rock star, barnyard, tea party, superhero, pirate and more. They offer four packages: basic, basic deluxe, enchanted and deluxe. Package options include: use of the facility, hosts, set up and clean up, food service, stereo with iPod dock, dance class, a dance party or music show and more. Add-ons are available for an additional fee and include themed decorations, more party time, face painting, more children, cake, pizza and more. As an added bonus, they are located in the building on Monroe Street that offers a parking lot.
Monroe Street Movement Space: If you are looking for a big open space for your little one’s party, look no further. Parties take place in their 1900 square foot classroom and you are welcome to use their equipment and sound system. They will work with you to help tailor a party just for your child. They also offer a kid-friendly lobby/food room with a sink, counter space, fridge, tables/chairs and restroom. Parties are only held on the weekends at certain times, check the website for details. The party fee covers use of the space, staff members, equipment, party tables and chairs. The staff will assist you in the party planning, food service and host for you. They also do all the set-up and clean up. You provide food, cake, drinks, paper products, favors, etc.
The Little Grocery: A great choice if you have a mini-foodie on your hands — The Little Grocery offers “Chef for a Day” kiddie parties. For a per-head price, kids can make your own pizza, cupcakes with icing and toppings and ice cream sundaes! The head chef will lead the children in how to make delicious party food themselves — from scratch. The parties are drop-off only, as they are a small space, but parents and family of the birthday kid may stay. Kids will also have fun decorating their own chef hats and aprons. Tablecloths and napkins are also included in the price.
