Jersey City always offers vibrant and delicious food options! We can’t help but admire these fantastic businesses that bring us new cuisines and food to try out! We are fortunate to have various food options, including indoor and outdoor dining. Here is the list of new food spots you must check out.
As the city is growing significantly and new businesses are opening, a variety of restaurants are opening regularly in the town. Some of them opened in 2024, while some will be opening their doors in 2025. Let’s welcome these newcomers! Viv & Jules
400 Adams St. Hoboken
Viv & Jules is an American Brasserie with Innovative dishes and elevated cocktails. They maintain that this is where culinary creations and chic vibes meet.
Greens, Goods & Grill
603 Washington St. Hoboken
This new restaurant, also known as G3, mixes a fresh kitchen with a modern convenience store so you can grab salads, burgers, wraps, smoothies, and essentials all in one stop.
Samurai Sushi
464 Newark Street, Hoboken

A new sushi spot has officially arrived in the Mile Square! Samurai Sushi @samuraisushinj just opened at 464 Newark Street, taking over the former Bobabucks space. Whether you’re craving classic rolls or creative bites, this is one to add to your foodie list.
Sweetgreen
218 Washington St, Hoboken

Located at the southern end of town (steps from the train station), Sweetgreen is serving up favorites like the Harvest Bowl, Crispy Rice Bowl, Caramelized Garlic Steak, and Miso Glazed Salmon.
Shanway Chengdu Kitchen
189 Newark Ave, Jersey City
Coming in the space vacated by Miso Ramen is Shanway Chengdu Kitchen. Shanway brings authentic Sichuan flavors to a fast-casual setting. Their signature Chengdu-Style Golden Fish leads a menu of bold, spicy dishes, classic stir-fries, steamed specialties, and everyday Chinese comfort food.
Lil M Cafe
57 Sip Ave, Jersey City
Lil M Cafe is open in Journal Square. This new spot brings their popular milk teas, brown sugar boba, and specialty drinks to the neighborhood.
Molly Tea
223 Grove Street, Jersey City
If Jasmine Tea is your thing, look no further. Molly Tea is here in Jersey City! Its first NJ store is here, and you can bet this new bubble tea spot will get a warm welcome.
Saoco Café
601 Jefferson Street, Hoboken
Saoco Café @saococafe is officially coming to Hoboken! Their Grand Opening is on January 10, 2026
Olaide’s Kitchen
516 Paterson Plank Road, Jersey City

Olaide’s Kitchen is a West African restaurant known for its authentic Nigerian dishes inspired by Chef Olaide Tella’s heritage. After serving Parlin, NJ, since 2017, the team has now expanded to Jersey City. You can find them on DoorDash and Uber Eats as well.
O Kafe
331 Marin Blvd, Jersey City
The Bourke Street Bakery space on Marin Blvd will now become the second home of @okafenj, following their Hamilton Park shop. This location will feature a larger setup with coffee, pastries, and convenient grab-and-go options. Officially opening on Dec 11th.
Butter
156 Brunswick Street, Jersey City
Butter is a small-batch bakery that just opened in the former Rabble & Lion space.
It’s all about fresh croissants, breads, and pastries baked daily, with early hours and weekend sell-outs.
Run Cafe
Berry Lane Park, JC
A new weekend spot has launched in Berry Lane Park, offering coffee, light bites, and a Sunday hangout for runners and park visitors. Run café operates Sundays only, 8AM–2PM, and also runs vintage markets with local vendors throughout the season.
Ikos
190 Steuben St., Jersey City

A new dining spot is on the way to Downtown Jersey City. Ikos is bringing its “vibe dining” concept – Mediterranean flavors, cocktails, and a warm nightlife feel. Opening in November 2025, you can look forward to Bold flavors, DJ nights, and warm hospitality.
Legends FC
Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza

Legends FC is a modern sports bar and restaurant now open on the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza. Expect good food, creative cocktails, and plenty of screens for live sports.
Barrio Barista Espresso Bar
60 Sip Ave, Jersey City

A new cafe, Barrio Barista, is opening on Nov 8, 2025, in Journal Square. First 25 customers get a free Barrio Barista tote bag. Come and sip on Sip Ave.
Cafe Littles
80 Mallory Ave, Jersey City

Cafe Littles is now welcoming neighbors to enjoy coffee, light bites, and a cozy space designed for families and friends. The café features daily board games and an outdoor area that will soon host small events like movie nights. Monday to Thursday, it is open from 8 am to 1 pm. Friday and Saturday, the cafe will open from 9 am to 5 pm.
Sushi Makoto
365 Palisade Ave, Jersey City

Sushi Makoto is now open at 365 Palisade Ave, Jersey City Heights. It has taken over the former Ichiban spot. This new sushi spot offers fresh rolls for dine-in or online orders.

San Patricios, a Mexican Cantina meets Irish Pub by The Dead Rabbit, has opened in Jersey City at 8 Erie Street.

Blank Street Coffee
Exchange Place, Jersey City
Blank Street Coffee is officially coming to Exchange Place! The Brooklyn-born coffee chain, known for its sleek aesthetic and affordable espresso, is opening a new location right across from the PATH and light rail.
With locations around NYC, London, Boston, and more, it’s Jersey City’s turn to sip the matcha.
Urban Market
333 Grand Street, Jersey City
Brooklyn-based Urban Market is set to open a new 10,000+ sq ft location at 333 Grand Street in Jersey City in 2026. The space is part of the Liberty Harbor development, across from the Jersey City Medical Center and Light Rail stop.
Their Kitchen Menu includes breakfast sandwiches and premium subs/wraps.

Little Mingo opened on Sunday, Aug 10, 2025, with free coffee, waffle samples and a DJ performance. A new coffee spot in the neighborhood, this place offers coffee, crepes, waffles, etc.
Incontro Caffe

Mariscos El Submarino

The Sicilian Guy

The Sicilian Guy brings you hearty sandwiches, traditional dishes, and homemade desserts to the heart of Downtown Jersey City. They moved their Bayonne store to the new location a week ago.

If you love pickles, this is the place to head to. Pickle Joy is open in Hoboken (since Aug 2025). They offer small-batch pickles made with high-quality, all-natural ingredients.
Daikon Carrot – Temporarily Closed

A bold fusion of Asian cuisines just opened up in the Rivet complex on West Side Ave. Expect delicious Banh Mi sandwiches, bowls, wraps, street fries, and refreshing drinks at the Daikon Carrot.

Coming soon to both Newport and Journal Square, this popular bakery and café chain is expanding in Jersey City — with not one, but two new spots! Expect all your favs at Paris Baguette – signature cakes, pastries, sandwiches and coffee. The Journal Square location was opened in July 2025.
The Colonial Grill
