One of Jersey City’s most popular food trucks, Angry Archies, has now opened a seafood restaurant in the Heights at 565 Palisade Avenue. They will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12 pm to 8 pm and offer crab cakes, lobster rolls, crab poutine, sandwiches, and more on their menu!
Boots & Bones(Coming Soon)

A brand new BBQ restaurant is coming soon to downtown Jersey City. Boots & Bones is taking over the space at 116 Newark Avenue and bringing some southern flavors to JC. The restaurant is the latest endeavor by the team behind The Ashford and Six26.

A new speakeasy is coming to the Pedestrian Plaza in Jersey City! Don’t Tell Liv will be above Oliva market on the second floor. Philadelphia-based Raymond Haldeman is working on the project and has teased a few design images on his Instagram page. The posts refer to Don’t Tell Liv as an “upscale lounge,” and the previews include renderings of a full bar plus table seating.

There is an exciting addition coming to Hamilton Park. Waffle It & Co., a shop specializing in Belgian Liège waffles and crepes, has opened its second location at 232.5 Pavonia Avenue. They have been Harborside for years and will now bring their diverse menu of sweet and savory crepes, waffles, freshly baked baguette sandwiches, soups, omelets, and more to this location!
Bourke Street Bakery NYC

Bon Vivant

In 2013, Maya Hormis founded the Bon Vivant cake café, leaving behind a 17-year career in the corporate world. Moved by a thought-provoking speech by Steve Jobs and seeking to find work that resonated deeply within her, she found her true passion in pastry during an exploratory year that included enrollment and certifications in the Culinary & Pastry Arts from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. As a result, the french pastry shop will be opening a location at 295 Johnston Avenue in Bergen-Lafayette. They are known for their miniature cakes and petits fours. These bite-sized cakes are served alongside afternoon tea with other delicious sweet + savory treats.

It looks like Shake Shack is now open at Newport Mall. The spot is located on the 3rd level of the dining pavilion. In the coming months, another location will open at 318 Grove Street. There is no confirmed opening date, but you can stop by the mall to get your Shake Shack fixed in the meantime!
