Dullboy’s speakeasy vibe makes it one of the most visually appealing places to have a cocktail in Jersey City and they now have a backyard spot to enjoy summer drinks! Cocktails are produced with the highest quality and they have something for everyone. They also offer dinner and small bites in case you want some to eat while you enjoy your drinks.

The Archer

The Archer has a unique vibe compared to the rest of the bars on Newark Ave. It is perfect for a cocktail or a nice whiskey on the rocks. It has over 300 bourbons to pick from which is perfect for the ones who love it. They also have delicious appetizers but the cocktails are a must-try of course.

Cellar 335

335 Newark Ave.

Cellar 335 describes its menu as progressive American cuisine with Asian accents and tiki-style cocktails. Cocktails will be crafted by Joshua Fossitt. If you want some tiki cocktails, they are your spot. Not only do they have strong and yummy individual cocktails they also have giant bowls that you can share with friends. They have an extensive menu of cocktails as well as food.

Lucky 7 is a go-to no-fuss bar where you can meet up with your friends. They always have daily specials on drinks, good music, a dartboard, and grafitti filled walls. If you want to a chill and nothing fancy, Lucky 7 is perfect for that.

The Pet Shop

Barcade Jersey City is excited to announce our re-opening for outdoor dining and drinks! We’re open from 12pm-10pm daily for service at our outdoor patio. Our patio is set up to accommodate groups of up to 8 guests at tables spaced 6+ feet apart. Hand sanitizer available. Menus will be contactless, via QR code. Our bathrooms will be open. However, the interior of the bar will not be open and our games cannot be used during this phase. When not seated at a table, guests are required to wear a mask. We ask that anyone who may have a fever or is not feeling well to please stay home. Food and drinks, including growlers, are still available for to-go orders, by phone or online ordering. A portion of proceeds from this week will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Color of Change organizations. Located in Jersey City Heights, Low Fidelity is a must-visit bar in the area. With a collection of amazing cocktails, beers, and wine, they have something for everyone. Another must-try here is their Detroit style pizza which is cheesy and delicious.

If you want to enjoy a good drink with a stunning view, stop by the RoofTop at Exchange Place. You can see breathtaking views of Manhattan, Jersey City, and Statue of Liberty. It is located in Hyatt House where you have to take an elevator all the way to the top.

Looking for some Neapolitan style pizza with your drinks? Check out, Porta. Not only do they have a full bar and yummy food, but they also have a rooftop that is definitely worth checking out in the summer.  They have DJ’S or live music sometimes which is always nice. The venue overall is quite spacious but can get quite packed on the weekends so keep that in mind when you visit.

The Ashford

A newer edition to Newark Ave, The Ashford is closest to a club you will find in Jersey City. In the day it’s perfect to stop by the bar or rooftop in the summer for some refreshing frozen cocktails and yummy eats but usually, at night, the Ashford turns into a club. They usually have  DJ and there can be a line you have to wait in before you get in. They also do private events and bottle service so if you are celebrating a birthday, this spot would be perfect. Get those dancing shoes on!

Six 26

Six 26’s mission is to make everyone who comes through their doors to feel welcome and accepted. This all-inclusive bar and lounge is right in the heart of Jersey City and is a must-visit. The lounge has a full menu with food and drinks and they have a brunch menu for the weekends. The best part about Six 26 is their drag brunch, karaoke, and other events they organize.

New Park Tavern

757 West Side Ave.

Down-to-earth haunt featuring bar grub, beer, wine & cocktails, plus a patio & live music, New Park Tavern is located on West Side Avenue. This hidden gem, which also has no real signage outside the bar, has one of the best burgers in Jersey City and a great selection of beer. They have other drinks too! The ambiance is a perfect dim listed Irish pub where you can go and catch up with friends over good food and beer. 

Atlas Public House

130 Newark Ave.

Located on Newark Ave, Atlas believes food pairs best with a cold New Jersey beer! Stop by for some good food and drinks! They choose to only offer craft beers made in the Garden State because they are such excellent matches for their food. You can always enjoy a beer and snack in their front bar, or have an intimate dinner in their beautiful dining room, or throw a party upstairs. After walking past the bar, the back has a sitting area that will remind you of a library or your grandfather’s den filled with books and leather couches.

Harrys Daughter is a gastropub in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood of Jersey City. The decor is absolutely stunning with the hanging chairs, lush tropical wallpaper, and lots of plants. Franklin Social – Tavern & Garden is a new restaurant and bar, inspired by Ben Franklin, offering a modern take on the American Tavern. A seasonally driven menu will offer classic dishes, highlighting local ingredients and be complemented by a cocktail program inspired by Colonial drinking culture. They have a ton of delicious cocktails as well as wine and beer. Right next to Franklin social is a speakeasy by the same owners, called The Junto Attic Bar which is a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts.

A cool spot offering a variety of sausage & beer in a rustic space with an old-school flair, Wurstbar has a ton of beer options that will go perfectly with your food. We love the ambiance, from the large white marble bar, and with vintage décor from old butcher shops covering the walls is perfect! If you want an extensive list of craft beers and some mouth-watering sausages, check them out.

Pint

Pint is a small neighborhood bar offering a wide range of American craft brews, plus jumbo “fishbowl” cocktails. They are an LGBTQ community inclusive bar that has a ton of specials, happy hour deals, and super chill ambiance. Every night has a different theme at Pint, including Pintini Mondays and Ducked Up Thursdays featuring drink specials.

Cherry’s Lounge

A family-owned business, Cherry’s Lounge is located in the Greenville area of Jersey City. They have a full bar menu as well as food options including lunch, brunch, and dinner. This bar is perfect to watch a good game as they have some tv’s around or just to grab a drink and catch up with friends.
