Other activities and things to do in Jersey City
With the summers being short, we make the most of the summer weekends available. It is great that there are so many events and activities in the city that are suitable for families. You can visit parks, go hiking or go camping. Zoos and safaris or drive-thru zoos are never disappointing for the kids. You can check out the petting zoos, a favorite of children and adults. Whether trampolines or dinosaurs, street food or cafes, farms or museums, Jersey City and the surrounding areas have it all.
And depending on the month, you can take the family to go and pick apples or peaches. Visiting the nearby lavender fields would be calming for everyone. If you want a change of colors, check out the sunflower farms. And in the evenings, with the pleasant weather, nothing can be better than meeting up with friends in restaurants. If you want to meet over drinks and have the kids in tow, there are many kid-friendly bars in and around the city. If you are looking for a night out after a full day of summer fun, look no further than Hoboken and Jersey City.
Indoor activities: Summers don’t mean it is always sunny and dry. During the rain, you can check out the several indoor options available. If the heat gets too much with the soaring temperatures, you can opt for indoor activities or go to water parks and sprinkler parks. You can also try other water activities. Some of the most fulfilling summer days are spent near or in water.
Summer offers fantastic opportunities for activities and events, but it’s also an ideal time to focus on personal and children’s development. Mommy and me classes are available for moms with babies and toddlers. Numerous other summer classes are available – dance, fitness, art, cooking, baking, mathematics, and many more. If the classes are held outdoors, it is double the advantage. One can enjoy a sunny day while doing something meaningful. And if you prefer to study on your own, there is no dearth of outdoor study spots in the city.
With so much being offered in this beautiful city we call home, let us make the best of this summer.
